RMI is a 15 Bedroom ground floor only Motel situated in Rutherglen, the heart of northern Victoria’s wine region. Conveniently located a short walk from Rutherglen’s main street and the town’s many restaurants, cafes, shops and bars, the Motel sits in its own grounds adjacent to the Rutherglen Golf Club and a very short stroll from the Rutherglen Bowling Club. The towns Memorial Hall is within comfortable walking distance even for those resplendent in their ballroom costumes ready to enjoy the competitions held there.
RMI has proved popular with those interested in wine tastings as well as wedding guests enjoying the fantastic produce and splendid settings on offer at the local wineries.
The Motel offers an ideal base from which tours of the surrounding area and its many attractions may be enjoyed. We will be happy to assist with the provision of local information and feedback from previous residents regarding the attractions and locations they particularly enjoyed.
Whether competing at the annual rowing regatta on Lake Moodemere, birdwatching, wine tasting, cycling, visiting sites of historic interest or simply relaxing, RMI can accommodate individuals, couples or groups.
Communication between RMI residents is made quick and easy due to its certainly unusual and “almost unique” central corridor allowing internal access to all rooms.
Each room also has an external door allowing access to guests vehicles parked outside as well as the Motel grounds, BBQ area and large swimming pool.
There is ample onsite parking for larger vehicles, buses and/or trailers.
